Turn off your air conditioner or heating device when you're not at home. Or set the thermostat timer to turn on before you get home to reduce unnecessary
energy use. You could also have your settings set lower for heating, around 68 degrees F, and wear warmer clothing, or 78 degrees F, and wear less clothing. These few things can save you 10% on your heating and cooling
costs. For each degree of heating or cooling, it is an additional 4-5% savings in energy costs. |
